 Abstract

Background. Currently, the basis for forming the paradigm of thinking in the field of state administration is the liberal philosophical and legal doctrine. It originates from ancient Greek philosophy. Being a product of a formal (abstract) type of thinking, in their totality, the liberal legal paradigm of thinking and ancient Greek philosophy are based on the spirit of pre-Christian life, i.e. life alien to the spirit of the Holy Gospel. The alienation from the spirit of the Holy Gospel is the main reason for the inability of ancient Greek (liberal) philosophy with its potential to form a spiritual mind aimed at ensuring national (state) security. The objective of the study is to substantiate a nonlinear and invisible threat to the national security of the state, which appears during the formation of a national worldview based on ancient Greek philosophy and liberal legal doctrine, as well as to prove a scientific hypothesis, according to which the spiritual, social and cultural occupation of the Russian state during the reign of Ivan III was carried out by the Holy Roman See using the potential of the special operation "Sophia (Zoya) Palaeologus". Materials and methods. The study stems from spiritual and scientific knowledge (published materials) available to the general scientific community about the ideological (essential) basis of the life of the Russian people and ancient Greek (liberal) philosophy in the context of national security. The objectives of the study are achieved using the potential of the spiritual method of thinking and ideological and methodological tools emanating from the Russian spiritual tradition (spiritual pillars of Russian Orthodoxy), cultural and historical heritage, traditional spiritual and moral values of the homeland. The methodological potential includes a system-activity approach and a cultural-historical method in solving the problem of national (state) security and ancient Greek (liberal) philosophy. Results. Taking into account the life of previous generations, the idea of a nonlinear threat to state security during forming of a national worldview in terms of state administration based on ancient Greek (liberal) philosophy is drawn and substantiated. Conclusions. The study allows proving the idea that with regard to ensuring national security, excessive enthusiasm for ancient Greek (liberal) philosophy, as well as liberal legal doctrines conditioned by this philosophy, entails the formation of demonic rationality and wisdom that is dangerous. Ancient Greek (liberal) philosophy, with its potential, determines the worldview (prevailing tendency of thinking) that is false for the Russian people, since the meaning of life is lost outside the Holy Tradition of the Church. Its motivation (intentions) and goal-setting are not defined by the spiritual pillars, cultural and historical heritage, traditional spiritual and moral values of the Russian people.
